September 14, 2025 — The Vergennes Fire Department Technical Rescue Team partnered with the Middlebury Fire Department Technical Rescue Team today to conduct joint training focused on deploying a high line and lowering rescuers into remote areas from above.
These scenarios are considered low-frequency but high-risk, requiring absolute precision when they occur.
“Training like this is critical to ensure our teams are ready to answer the call when our communities need us most,” the departments emphasized.
