Englewood 2nd Alarm Commercial Building Fire

Englewood firefighters made quick work of a fire in a large two story warehouse that went to two alarms Saturday night.to
Firefighters were dispatched to 330 S. Van Brunt St just before 8pm for an activated fire alarm in a large food distribution warehouse. On arrival of first units, a fire in the warehouse was confirmed with a heavy smoke condition. A second alarm was transmitted bringing a ladder from Hackensack, an engine from Teaneck, and a FAST Team from Tenafly. Interior crews were able to knock down the fire, which was kept in check by sprinklers, with the initial attack line. An additional FAST Team was requested from Bergenfield as Tenafly was put to work to assist with overhaul and check for any extension. A special request was made to the Mahwah FD for their fan boat to assist in the ventilation of smoke from the large warehouse. The fire was knocked down within 15 minutes. No injures were reported and the fire is under investigation.
