BRIDGEWATER , NJ — Firefighters deployed specialized aerial apparatus and command staff early Saturday morning, providing critical mutual aid support at a high-elevation industrial fire at the Stavola Quarry facility.
On the morning of August 22, the Finderne Fire Department (Bridgewater Township Fire District 4) in Somerset County was requested on mutual aid by the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department to assist at an active industrial blaze off Chimney Rock Road.
Finderne responded with a comprehensive operational package, sending all three department Chiefs, Tower 30, and Utility 30 to the scene. Operating alongside Martinsville and assisting mutual aid companies, crews integrated into fireground operations to combat a stubborn fire burning atop large industrial paving and asphalt silos.
Tower 30 provided elevated master stream reach and high-angle tactical access, enabling crews to effectively suppress the flames and secure the surrounding superstructure.
