PISCATAWAY, NJ — Firefighters rolled out in the early morning hours Sunday to provide vital mutual aid assistance at a working structure fire in neighboring District 3.

At approximately 3:06 a.m. (0306 hours) on August 30, Squad 75 from the Holmes Marshall Fire Department (Piscataway District 4) in Middlesex County was dispatched to assist Arbor Hose Company #1 (Piscataway District 3) on an active structure fire.

Arriving on location, the crew from Squad 75 integrated directly into fireground operations to conduct overhaul. Firefighters opened up interior spaces, pulled walls and ceilings, and checked structural framing for hidden hot spots and potential fire extension to ensure the blaze was completely suppressed.

After securing the fireground alongside operating companies, Squad 75 completed operations and returned to station by 4:00 a.m. (0400 hours).
