WALDWICK, NJ — Firefighters provided emergency medical care and secured an unstable crash scene Saturday morning following a single-vehicle rollover collision.
On September 5, emergency dispatch alerted the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department to a motor vehicle crash with reported rollover conditions in Bergen County.
Responding units, including 64 Squad and Rescue, arrived on location to find a passenger vehicle resting overturned. The occupant managed to self-extricate from the wreckage prior to the arrival of first responders. Firefighters immediately stabilized the overturned vehicle to eliminate shifting hazards, disconnected the power supply, and administered initial first aid to the driver.
Crews worked alongside the Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WALVAC), which took over patient care and transported the injured driver to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
