Waldwick, NJ - Firefighters from the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department deployed on mutual aid late Friday night to assist neighboring crews battling an active residential structure fire.
On August 29, regional fire units were dispatched to a reported dwelling fire in Wyckoff, Bergen County.Responding to assist the initial alarm assignment, firefighters aboard Waldwick's 64 Truck integrated directly into fireground operations upon arrival.
The truck crew worked alongside operating companies to support active fire suppression efforts, knocking down remaining fire before conducting extensive overhaul operations to check wall voids, ceiling spaces, and structural framing for hidden ember pockets.
