Wyckoff, NJ - Firefighters from the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department rolled out early Tuesday morning to back up mutual aid crews battling a massive commercial structure fire that reached four alarms.
On September 1, regional fire companies were called out to Goffle Road in Hawthorne, Passaic County, where heavy fire conditions inside a commercial building quickly triggered a fourth-alarm response to summon extra apparatus and manpower.
Responding directly to the scene, firefighters aboard Wyckoff Engine 234 went straight to work alongside multiple area departments. The crew integrted into fireground operations, establishing vital water supply hookups to sustain heavy flow and assisting operating teams with active fire supression lines to help knock down the heavy body of fire and bring the multi-alarm incident under control.
