U-Crest firefighter completes advanced training program

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (Sept. 10, 2025) — U-Crest Fire District #4 announced Wednesday that firefighter Matthew Prusiecki has completed an advanced training milestone after graduating from BEFO/IFO training and enrolling in a smoke diver’s course.
The three-day program tested firefighters on self-contained breathing apparatus use and equipment proficiency while operating in immediately dangerous to life and health environments.
District officials praised Prusiecki’s dedication, calling him “an asset to our team.”
