Town Line firefighter honored at Erie County Fair

HAMBURG, N.Y. (Aug. 15, 2025) — Town Line Volunteer Firefighter Mark Hjalmarson was recognized Friday at the Erie County Fair for his service to the community.
Hjalmarson, who joined the department in December 2022, was the 10th firefighter selected this year for the fair’s firefighter recognition program. He was nominated by his stepdaughter.
Department officials said Hjalmarson has repeatedly proven to be a valuable member, and his family was present for the award ceremony.
