South Line firefighters share fire prevention tips at community picnic

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (Aug. 9, 2025) — Members of the South Line Fire Department took part in a family appreciation picnic Saturday, where they spoke with residents about the importance of fire prevention.
The event was hosted by Latina Boulevard Foods, LLC. Fire officials said the gathering gave them a chance to meet neighbors and highlight the department’s community role.
Among those attending were Assistant Chiefs Fisher and Schnurstein, President Martinez, and firefighters Woodard and DiGiacomo.
