The incident occurred at approximately 4:07 PM on August 28, prompting an immediate emergency dispatch to the Mercer County highway corridor. Station 42 units—including Squad 42, Deputy 42, Assistant 42, and Fire Police aboard Utility 42—rushed to the scene to assess the multi-vehicle wreckage.

Upon arrival, fire crews encountered a two-car accident with occupants trapped inside the damaged vehicle structure.
