Newton Abbott firefighters demonstrate forcible entry at county fair

HAMBURG, N.Y. (Aug. 11, 2025) — Probationary firefighters from the Newton Abbott Fire Company joined Erie County officials Monday to give visitors a firsthand look at forcible entry techniques during the Erie County Fair.
Jake Johnson and Anthony Zafuto assisted the county’s Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services in demonstrations at the Firemen’s Building. The exhibit showed how firefighters use specialized skills and tools to gain access during emergencies.
