LANCASTER, N.Y. (Sept. 6, 2025) — Firefighters in Lancaster brought a basement fire under control Saturday evening with help from several neighboring departments.
Crews were dispatched around 5 p.m. to a home on Albert Drive. The Lancaster Fire Department, along with Twin District Volunteer Fire Company, quickly contained the blaze, officials said.
Support also came from the Depew Fire Department, Lancaster Ambulance, Lancaster police and the Lancaster Dispatcher Employee Association. Bowmansville Volunteer Fire Association stood by at Lancaster’s Station No. 1, and Elma Volunteer Fire Company covered Twin District during the call.
Officials credited strong teamwork and mutual aid partnerships for ensuring the fire was handled swiftly and safely.
