ELMA, N.Y. (Aug. 14, 2025) — Firefighters with the Jamison Road Volunteer Fire Company spent Thursday rolling out and testing every length of hose to ensure equipment was ready for the next emergency.

Crews inspected hoses for leaks, bursts and water flow issues as part of routine maintenance. Officials said the work helps guarantee reliability when seconds matter at a fire.

“It’s hard work, but there’s no better feeling than knowing our equipment is ready to go,” the department said in a statement.
