On 1 September 2026 in Hawthorne, New Jersey, the engine company was requested shortly after shift change following reports of a working structure fire escalating in intensity. Upon arrival, Engine 35 was assigned by command to support ongoing fireground operations already in progress, integrating into an active multi-company response.

Crews from Engine 35 were tasked with a range of operational duties under incident command, assisting with suppression efforts, fireground support functions, and coordinated operations alongside Hawthorne Fire Department and additional responding units.
