Spotswood, NJ - Spotswood Volunteer Fire Department Enterprise Hook & Ladder Company responded on 30 August 2026 as part of a Middlesex County tanker task force deployment to South Brunswick, assisting Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department at a large brush fire involving an extensive outdoor fire condition.

Engine 71-1 operated on scene for an extended duration, supporting suppression operations that required continuous water shuttle movement and coordinated fire attack efforts across multiple agencies. Crews worked to maintain a steady water supply to the fireground while assisting with containment operations aimed at preventing further spread in the affected area.

Firefighters remained actively engaged throughout the incident until the fire was brought under control and units were gradually released from the scene after conditions were stabilized.
