Pittston Firefighters Provided Mutual Aid at Richmond Structure Fire

RICHMOND, ME — September 7 — The Pittston Fire Department was called to assist at a structure fire in Richmond on September 7 as part of a mutual-aid assignment.Fire 3 and Tanker 24 responded with a crew of two, while other Pittston firefighters arrived separately and joined the operation at the scene.Tanker 24 provided water during the incident, delivering two loads from its tank to support firefighting efforts.Additional Pittston firefighters worked alongside crews from the departments involved in the incident.
This response highlighted the importance of mutual aid in supplying more personnel and water resources during structure fires.
According to Pittston Fire Department records, the department operates a fleet that includes Tanker 24, a 2010 Kenworth/Pierce apparatus.
All people inside the building were able to escape the fire safely, and there were no reported injuries.
