OAKLAND, ME — AUGUST 24 — Oakland Fire Rescue and the Oakland Police Department responded to a structure fire located on East Pond Road in Oakland.Oakland Fire Rescue was the first emergency service to arrive at the scene.

Oakland Fire Rescue reported that firefighters discovered the fire in the garage area and contained it to that section.

Firefighters remained at the scene while police officers assisted with the response.The department’s official update did not confirm any details regarding injuries, property damage, or the cause of the fire.

The incident occurred within Oakland Fire Rescue’s mutual-aid system.
