Oakland Firefighters Assisted at Belgrade Road Rollover Crash

OAKLAND, ME — AUGUST 15 — Oakland Fire Rescue and the Oakland Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash that involved a rollover on Belgrade Road.The accident occurred when a passenger vehicle overturned and came to rest along the edge of the road.At the scene, fire and police personnel worked together to manage the incident, with the damaged vehicle remaining on the roadside throughout the response.


This event provided an opportunity for Oakland's emergency services to coordinate their efforts in handling a crash involving a damaged vehicle and potential roadway hazards.

Belgrade Road has previously seen reported motor vehicle crashes, some of which were investigated by Oakland police.


Oakland's emergency services are composed of a municipal fire department and a police department.

According to the town's planning documents, there are 27 fire personnel and 26 police employees on staff.


The incident highlighted the importance of coordination between fire and police departments during motor vehicle crashes.
