Elma firefighters take part in Mercy Flight safety training

ELMA, N.Y. (Aug. 25, 2025) — Members of the Elma Volunteer Fire Company joined Mercy Flight for a ground crew safety training session Monday evening at the Town Park and Senior Center lot.
For many firefighters, it was their first opportunity to take part in the program, which focused on helicopter operations and safety procedures.
Officials thanked the Mercy Flight crew for leading the training.
