Williamsville firefighters thank agencies after Thruway bus crash response

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (Aug. 25, 2025) — The Williamsville Fire Department expressed gratitude Monday to the many emergency agencies that responded to a recent Thruway bus crash.
In a statement, officials said their thoughts are with the passengers and families affected, as well as the first responders who witnessed the incident.
The department noted that while some aspects of emergency service may seem lighthearted, the work of both paid and volunteer firefighters often places them on the front lines of human tragedy.
