Buffalo airport firefighters, police hold family day and softball game

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (Aug. 17, 2025) — Members of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Fire Department and the NFTA Transit Authority Police gathered Sunday for a family day event that featured their first-ever softball game.
The “Fire vs. Police” matchup was hosted jointly by the unions representing both departments. Organizers said they hope the event becomes an annual tradition.
