BUFFALO, N.Y. (Aug. 7, 2025) — Buffalo Fire Department’s Engine 19 and “Freddy the fire truck” visited the extended summer program at PS 79 on Thursday, teaching children fire safety through hands-on demonstrations.
Firefighters showed their gear and reviewed key lessons, including “Stop, Drop, and Roll,” “Call 911,” “Get Out and Stay Out,” and “Get Low and Stay Low.”
The event gave students a chance to learn about fire safety in an engaging setting while meeting firefighters from their community.
