ENGLEWOOD, NJ - Heavy smoke filled the sky as firefighters battled a fully involved house fire late Wednesday morning, September 8th.

Multiple calls were received for a reported house fire at 15 West Hamilton Ave. Incident Command Johnston arrived on scene within minutes and reported a heavily involved house with possible exposure problems and transmitted the second-alarm.

Exterior operations were ordered on arrival of all members due to the home being deemed condemned due to storm flooding. PSE&G was requested on a rush. Heavy fire consumed the whole 'Charlie' side of the home and quickly spread throughout the structure. Several hand lines, two ladder pipes and a deck gun were used to to knock down the main body of fire within 30 minutes.

Mutual aid from Hackensack, Teaneck, and Tenafly assisted on scene. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
