NEW HUDSON, NY — August 12 — Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.provided mutual aid to the New Hudson Fire Company during a structure fire that occurred on August 12.Clarksville crews, including Chief 50, Engine 2, and Mini 4, were dispatched to assist with fire suppression efforts.

Engine 2 and Mini 4 set up a tanker fill point at the Cuba Lake boat launch, which supported a tanker shuttle operation that delivered 17,000 gallons of water for use during the firefighting activities.

This water supply played a key role in supporting the crews involved in fighting the structure fire.

The incident highlighted the value of coordinated mutual aid and careful planning for water supply during rural fire responses, where access to hydrants may be limited.

It was confirmed that both Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company and New Hudson Fire Company are volunteer fire organizations based in Allegany County.
