LINCOLN, Maine (Aug. 27, 2025) — Firefighters contained a second-alarm fire to about two acres Wednesday morning after it spread from a brush pile on Sweet Road, officials said.
Lincoln Fire Department worked with Central Maine Highlands Fire & EMS District No. 1 and Maine Forest Rangers to bring the blaze under control.
Authorities said fire danger remains high, and open burning is prohibited in Lincoln, Chester and Winn.
