At a recent Genoa Fire Department training night, members had the opportunity to focus on emergency medical care with a special presentation from Elevate EMS Training. The session centered around the nationally recognized “Stop the Bleed” program, designed to give first responders the tools and confidence to control life-threatening bleeding.

Firefighters learned about different types of bandages and tourniquets, along with their proper application in high-stress situations. Following the classroom instruction, participants put their knowledge to the test, practicing hands-on techniques with realistic simulation props.

The GFD extends its thanks to Elevate EMS Training for delivering an engaging and valuable program—and looks forward to welcoming them back in the future.
