Two drivers escape serious injury in Harwinton crash

HARWINTON, Conn. (Monday, Sept. 1, 2025) — A two-car crash at the intersection of Routes 4 and 118 left both drivers with minor injuries Monday evening, officials said.
The Harwinton Volunteer Fire Department said one vehicle ended up on its side following the collision, which occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Both operators refused transport to the hospital.
Firefighters also cleaned up a fluid spill at the scene while working to keep traffic moving during the evening rush.
The intersection was fully cleared and traffic returned to normal a short time later.
