WASHINGTONVILLE, NY – Washingtonville FD responded to a reported structure fire at 16 Bull Road on September 2nd. A second alarm was sounded, bringing mutual aid from Salisbury Mills, Vails Gate, Monroe, Chester, and South Blooming Grove to the scene. Firefighters used hand lines and ground ladders to attack the fire. The bulk of the fire was in the attic and had spread to the second floor. The fire was knocked down by the 50-minute status check. Deputy Fire Coordinator 36-15 was on scene. Command requested Orange County Fire Inspectors, with 36-103 and 36-110 responding. A search of the residence was negative. Firefighters were overhauling at the 60-minute status check. The fire is currently under investigation.
