Providence Fire Department Expands Fleet with New Rescue Trucks

The Providence Fire Department placed a brand-new rescue truck into service, with a second scheduled to arrive in the near future.
Rescue 3 on Branch Avenue and Rescue 4 on Washington Street are among the busiest EMS units in the entire country, each responding to over 12,000 emergencies every year. Our crews give everything they have to protect this city, and these new vehicles will provide them with the dependable equipment they need to respond faster, work more safely, and continue delivering critical care when it matters most.
This investment was made possible through the support of our federal delegation and the leadership of Chief Silva and Mayor Smiley. We’re proud to strengthen our fleet and ensure our firefighters have the tools necessary to serve Providence at the highest standard.
