FOSTER, R.I. (Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025) — Members of the Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company practiced essential firefighting skills during a training session Thursday night, officials said.
The drill focused on donning turnout gear, hose deployment and advancement, and applying water with smooth bore and fog nozzles. Firefighters also reviewed proper procedures for draining and repacking hose after use.
Officials said the session was part of ongoing efforts to sharpen operational readiness and ensure crews are prepared for emergencies.
