It was a demanding weekend for the Lewiston Fire Department as firefighters responded to four separate fires across the city. Incidents occurred on Laase Street, Alfred Plourde Parkway, and Lisbon Street, keeping crews busy throughout the weekend.

In addition, Lewiston firefighters provided mutual aid to Auburn Fire Department last week for a fire on South Main Street. Officials confirmed that the incidents were not related.

Over the course of these responses, crews deployed more than 5,000 feet of hose. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for treatment but was released a few hours later. Fortunately, no civilian injuries were reported.
