HILLSDALE, N.Y. (Friday, Aug. 1, 2025) — A tractor-trailer crashed off Route 22 Friday morning, striking trees before coming to rest in a stream, officials said.

The Hillsdale Fire Company was dispatched at 7:13 a.m. Car 2 arrived and confirmed the rollover, requesting assistance from the state Department of Transportation and the state Department of Environmental Conservation.

Command turned the scene over to state agencies around 11:45 a.m., and Route 22 reopened by about 2 p.m.

Mutual aid was provided by Craryville Fire, Hillsdale Repairs, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, and Columbia County 911 dispatchers. No injuries were reported.
