Elmira Heights firefighters handle six calls, including crash into home

ELMIRA HEIGHTS, N.Y. (Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025) — Elmira Heights firefighters responded to six calls Tuesday morning, including a motor vehicle accident that damaged a home and an adjacent structure, officials said.
No serious injuries were reported in the crash or at the affected residences, according to the department.
As a precaution, firefighters deployed hand lines while assessing and mitigating hazards at the scene.
