Andover Fire Department Welcomes New Engine to Fleet

The Andover Fire Department announced that its newest engine has officially joined the fleet and is en route to its new home. The apparatus was custom-built by 4 Guys Fire Trucks in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania.
Deputy Grant and Commissioner/EMT/FF Kidder made the trip to bring the engine back, with arrival expected late in the evening at the department’s East Station.
The department extended its appreciation to GMI and Preferred Transportation, as well as to Jeremy Mc., for providing the truck and trailer used to transport the engine. Officials also thanked Dave and Scott for dedicating two days from their schedules to ensure the safe delivery of the vehicle.
Department leaders said the new engine will be a vital addition to Andover’s fleet, enhancing the community’s fire and emergency response capabilities.
