On Monday, 25 August 2025, members of C Group, Engine 1 and Engine 6 of the Pittsfield Fire Department participated in drill school led by Training Captain Arnhold.
The training focused on auto extrication techniques, with crews practicing the use of both hand tools and hydraulic rescue tools. These exercises are designed to sharpen firefighters’ skills for responding to serious vehicle accidents where rapid and safe patient removal is critical.
