Sunday, 17 August 2025 – The Bristol Fire Department responded to a boat fire in a difficult-to-reach shallow area, requiring coordinated operations from both land and water.Fire crews worked alongside partner agencies to bring the blaze under control. Despite the challenging location, the fire was extinguished without injuries.
The department expressed its gratitude to the assisting agencies, including Portsmouth Rhode Island Firefighters, the Bristol Police Department, and the Rhode Island State Fire Marshal’s Office, for their support in the operation.
