This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

At 1628 hours the Avenel, Woodbridge and Port Reading Fire Departments were dispatched to Gail Court for a smoke condition. While responding Colonia Truck 12-2-1 was dispatched. Upon the arrival of Engine 5-4 crews found light smoke showing from the attic of a 1 story single family home. During investigation crews found smoke in the structure and high heat in the ceiling area. Shortly after opening up where the heat was crews found a working fire in the attic and quickly knocked the fire with a hose line. The fire was placed under control shortly after and companies overhauled. Companies had 1 line in operation, and a positive water supply established. Units on the scene were Avenel Engine 5-4, Utility 5-3-2, Woodbridge Engine 1-3, Port Reading Engine 2-1, and Colonia Truck 12-2-1.
