BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — July 29 — Firefighters from various departments in Westchester County responded to a second-alarm commercial fire on Wednesday morning at 1326 Pleasantville Road in Briar cliff Manor.

The Briarcliff Manor Fire Department, based at 1111 Pleasantville Road, was the first to arrive on the scene.

Crews were sent just after 5:30 a.m. and found heavy fire in the south part of the building. According to News 12, the building was empty when the firefighters arrived, and no one was injured.

The situation became a second-alarm when flames spread into hidden areas of the building.

Additional fire units provided help with putting out the fire, conducting searches, and removing any remaining heat sources. They also helped with opening up the structure to check for any leftover fire.

The assisting fire departments included Millwood Fire, Ossining Fire Department, Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, Chappaqua Fire Department, Valhalla Fire Department, Pocantico Hills Fire Department, Buchanan Engine Company, Thornwood Fire Department, Port Chester Fire Department, Tarrytown Fire Department, Hawthorne Fire Department, Sleepy Hollow Fire Department, Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department, Battalion 10, and Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Proton officials confirmed that their teams joined forces with Millwood and were part of the FAST response team.
