In the evening, Wildwood City Firefighters rescued approximately 25 individuals from vehicles stranded in floodwaters. Crews also responded to several additional incidents, including vehicle fires, throughout the evening.

This serves as a reminder of the dangers of driving through floodwaters—the water is often deeper and more hazardous than it appears.

A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 2:00 AM tomorrow morning. High tide is expected in the back bays around 8:45 PM tonight, with moderate flooding forecasted.

Residents in flood-prone or low-lying areas are strongly urged to move vehicles to higher ground prior to high tide to prevent damage and ensure safety.
