WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ — August 12, 2026 — A car smashed into a storage shed at Wall Township's Bel-Aire Golf Course on Wednesday morning, prompting the response of firefighters and emergency service workers.

At around 10:30 a.m., the first contact was received regarding a car entering a storage shed and a potential entrapment. The driver was able to get out of the car before firefighters arrived and was unharmed.

The driver, a 78-year-old lady from Leonard, was trying to park a 2025 Tesla Model 3 when it collided with another parked car and then crashed into the storage shed, according to Wall Township police.

The incident was handled by Glendola Fire Company No. 1. After the car entered the building, firefighters had to deal with it and eventually take it out of the shed.

The crash left the vehicle inside the storage structure, creating an additional concern for responders beyond the original reported entrapment. Photographs from the scene showed the vehicle had traveled through the side of the shed and into the building.

Wall Township Code Enforcement responded and determined that the shed was unsafe following the crash, according to police.

The Wall Police Department, Tri-Boro First Aid Squad, Atlantic Paramedics, Glendola Fire Company No. 1, Wall Fire District No. 3/South Wall Fire Rescue and other emergency-service personnel were involved or operating at the scene according to the available department and local reporting.
