WEST GREENWICH, RI — August 11 — Firefighters and rescue personnel responded Tuesday afternoon to Weaver Hill Road for a reported motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle that had left the roadway and entered the woods.

The West Greenwich Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 responded with Chiefs 201, 202 and 203 and Engine 22. Coventry Rescue 6 responded to assist with the incident.

Crews worked at the scene to assess the vehicle and occupants and provide the necessary emergency services. The incident brought fire and rescue personnel into an area where access can be more challenging because of the surrounding woods.

Weaver Hill Road is classified by the Town of West Greenwich as a minor collector and has recorded motor-vehicle crashes in recent years.
