Quick Knockdown, Two Pet Rescues in Warren

WARREN, RI — August 20 — Firefighters responded to Laurel Lane around 2:17 p.m.on Thursday due to a reported residential structure fire.
Crews from the Warren Fire Department arrived with Engines 3 and 5 and Tower 1.
Engine 5, which had been handling another call, arrived alongside the Warren Police Department and reported a fire that was actively burning in a one-story, wood-frame ranch.It was reported that the occupants had been safely evacuated, but two dogs were still inside the home.
Car 1 took command as firefighters started a primary search, while other teams worked to locate and put out the fire.
Both dogs were found and rescued from the residence, and the fire was contained to the kitchen area.
The incident caused moderate damage from both fire and water.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
The response demonstrated the importance of arriving crews quickly focusing on life safety and conducting primary search operations.
The Warren Fire Department has multiple engine companies and Tower 1 as part of its emergency response resources.
