HARRISON, N.J. (Sunday, July 13, 2025) — Harrison firefighters conducted a live training drill Sunday morning, using an acquired structure to simulate a residential fire response, officials said.

Tour 2 crews, under the direction of Battalion Chiefs Cavanagh and Faugno, arrived to find a Type 5 wood-frame dwelling as the training scenario.

Firefighters practiced hoseline stretches, vent-enter-search tactics, ground ladder placement, victim removal and apparatus positioning.

Officials said the drill provided valuable hands-on experience to sharpen response skills.
