Mutual Aid Responds to Lazy Brook Road House Fire

Readington Township, N.J. — July 29 — Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched at approximately 7:56 p.m. Wednesday for a third-party report of a possible fire on Lazy Brook Road.
Firefighters arrived to find an appliance fire that had extended into the basement kitchen. The response was expanded as additional fire and rescue resources were requested.
Mutual aid included Whitehouse Fire Company, Readington Volunteer Fire Company, Raritan Township Fire Marshal's Office, Hunterdon County OEM and Whitehouse Rescue Squad, according to the incident report. The supplied dispatch identifiers also included 32 Fire, 22 Fire, 21 Fire and 36 Fire.
Three Bridges' Squad 33 stretched attack lines while Tender 33 supplied water as crews worked to bring the fire under control. The main body of fire was knocked down quickly, followed by extensive overhaul to check for remaining fire and extension.
Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Company is one of the volunteer fire departments that serve Readington Township, where the incident took place. According to county records, Readington Volunteer Fire Company is Station 32, Whitehouse Fire Company is Station 22, and Three Bridges is Station 33.
