On Tuesday August 4th 2026 the Suffolk County Sheriff Office hosted its annual National Night Out at Firemen’s Memorial Park in Ridge. The event also had participation from the Ridge Fire Department and Suffolk County Fire Rescue & Emergency Services. Various emergency vehicles were on display for the public to see. At 6PM the Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff’s and Suffolk County Correctional Officers went head to head in a softball match. Two live demonstrations were conducted by the Ridge Fire Department which were auto extrication and camper fire.
