Charlestown-Richmond Crews Responded to Vehicle Crash

Charlestown, R.I. — July 27 — The Charlestown-Richmond Fire Department, along with the Charlestown Police, Charlestown Ambulance-Rescue Service, and Cross Mills Fire Department, responded to a collision involving an automobile that hit a tree. After a power pole was destroyed and wires were left hanging low, Engine 716 and Special Hazards 700 blocked the route. The other end of the road was blocked by Engine 812.
The occupant was outside the car when CARS treated them. While the vehicle was being removed and the wires were being secured, the road was stopped for approximately an hour. The Charlestown-Richmond and Cross Mills fire stations are run by the Charlestown Fire District.
