MASTIC, NY – On July 22nd at about 7:13 P.M., Mastic FD and Mastic Ambulance were dispatched along with Suffolk Police 7th Precinct cars to a reported MVA at Southaven Ave. and Roberts Street. On arrival they found a vehicle versus bicycle and quickly went to work treating one of the patients who had serious injuries. A Medevac was requested and dispatched to a landing zone at the Applebees on Montauk Highway in Shirley.
The Mastic FD redirected Engine 5-12-2, Mini pumper 5-12-5 and Fire Police 5-12-80 to secure the landing zone. Suffolk Police also sent multiple patrol cars to assist in securing the landing zone.
