Norwalk, Conn. — August 5 — At 8:12 p.m., the Norwalk Fire Department was called to the scene of a train incident involving three pedestrians near 353 Main Ave. Police reported a third person stuck beneath the train and escorted two people off the tracks.

The third individual was found by firefighters under a rail car on a river bridge. The patient was moved inside a passenger rail car by firefighters, police, and emergency medical services using a Reeves sleeve due to restricted access. After that, he was placed in a Stokes basket and transported to an ambulance. It took roughly fifteen minutes to complete the rescue.

After being taken to Norwalk Hospital, the patient succumbed to his wounds. There were no reports of any other injuries. The issue is still being looked into.
