On August 1, members of Excelsior Fire Company No. 1, along with Squad 22 and the department's air trailer, represented the department at the Cambria County Firemen's Association Convention.

In order to honor the fire service, foster unity, and uphold long-standing customs, the event gathered firemen and departments together. The organizers, volunteers, participating departments, and attendees were commended by Excelsior officers and members on another successful convention.

According to the department, their involvement gave it a chance to stand with other firefighters in support of training, service, and camaraderie while representing the Bellwood-Antis region.
